About the partnership
Through our relationship with the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) we have
developed a partnership with Lister Community School in Newham.
Lister is an under performing school with a higher-than-average proportion of socially disadvantaged students. Most students come
from ethnic minority backgrounds, with the largest groups being Bangladeshi, Pakistani and African. Over half of the students speak English as an
additional language.
Super learning days
We have hosted a number of 'Super Learning Days' with students from Lister. The ‘Super Learning Days’ aim to raise aspirations, provide exposure to the wide range of careers in construction and to inspire belief that students can follow the same career pathways as the employees they meet.
