Children's dreams come true in the new multifunctional room of the ‘Blaue Giraffe’
Our charity project for the in the direct vicinity of our Munich branch was successfully implemented at the beginning of the year. "Together with our partners, we have not only achieved the goal of refreshing the kindergarten – together we have created a place where young and old feel equally comfortable and can spend unforgettable moments," says our responsible site manager, Nicol Vitali.
With great support from our partners Arve (carpenter), Twents (carpenter) and Kühberger (painter), we have created, through conversion and renovation work, a soft and warm atmosphere which reflects the fantastic caring work of the facility."Especially in these times, supporting facilities that have such a positive impact on life in our neighbourhood is enormously important and we are proud to be able to bring some joy to the children and educators," says Lars Schmitt, head of Munich.
With its bright paintwork, the newly renovated and redesigned corridor invites children into a friendly and open world as soon as they enter the day-care facility. However, the corridor has not only been optimised in terms of appearance, but also functionality. With its new wardrobe the space can now be used optimally, as it offers enough room for shoes, jackets and bags thanks to additional storage space.
And that's not all – the little ones now also have a new multifunctional room with a unique wooden play and reading corner. On the comfortable seating areas, they can retreat, read, paint, and let their creativity run free. It’s not only the little ones that are happy about the bright new areas, but also the big ones, as Veronika Pöllmann, Blaue Giraffe board member, points out: "Our educators are very happy with the new room. The little ones who take naps are very proud that they now have their own little bed and apparently also slept really well right away." Indeed, that's because the new smart play and reading corner not only offers space for children's toys and books, but there are also ventilation slots in the back wall where a total of eight small beds can be arranged vertically and stored safely – turning the play area into a cosy sleeping oasis in no time at all.
"I would like to thank ISG again for their help in creating our new facility. The children are taking more and more of the space every day, and our educators also enjoy the spatial flexibility. It is a joy! Just as we were hoping it would be," concludes Michael Schütze, Blue Giraffe board member.
