ISG named Southern Construction Framework Contractor of the Year
We are delighted to have been named Southern Construction Framework (SCF) Contractor of the Year for 2020.
The quality of ISG’s relationship with SCF and our strong performance on its projects were cited as key factors in the decision, as well as ISG’s tangible contribution to the progression of the framework.
Accountability, leadership and quality of partnering also stood out for the judging team.
ISG’s SCF influence has continued to grow, being reappointed to its latest iteration in 2019, and, for the first time, securing a place across all three regional lots – set to deliver up to £5.25bn of public sector construction work across the south of England over the next four years.
We were appointed to the South West, South East and London lots of the framework, a joint initiative between Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council, which to date has delivered over £2.5bn of public projects for 75 public sector clients.
The collaborative approach of frameworks, like SCF, allow for early contractor engagement, honest and transparent procurement and delivery processes, and a true commitment to delivering employment and skills opportunities.
This year’s award follows success in 2019, when ISG was awarded SCF’s ‘Initiative of the year’ for development of the Level 3 Diploma in Professional Construction Practice in partnership with awarding organisation, the WJEC, and our very own Emma Bull scooping ‘Framework manager of the year’.
Via the framework, we recently completed the Humanities Hub building for the University of Bristol, are currently on site in Barnstaple to create the new North Devon Enterprise Centre (NDEC) and continue to work with clients to progress a number of education projects through to second stage.
ISG was also able to support Somerset County Council in their call out to SCF partners during the Covid-19 pandemic, stepping in to provide its hardworking NHS teams with essential PPE.
Zoe Price, chief operating officer for our UK Construction business, said: “We pride ourselves on our commitment to frameworks which allows us to concentrate on long-term relationships between clients, professionals and contractors focused on shared objectives and common values.
“Being named Southern Construction Framework Contractor of the Year is testament to how hard the team has worked to build strong relationships and deliver excellent results across the projects we’ve been a part of.
“My congratulations go to everyone involved and we look forward to working with the SCF to deliver more fantastic projects in the future.”
