Overview

ISG was chosen by United Airlines to fit out their Club Lounge facilities. Heathrow’s new Terminal, 2B was completed in spring 2014, with the lounge at Terminal T2A still currently on site. The T2B project was an important one for ISG and United Airlines as it was the first lounge built to a new concept.

The Project

The projects cover more than 20,000 sq ft over two buildings with the scope of works ranging from high class lounge, and dining and business facilities to full-service kitchens and washrooms with showers. Over the course of the project the team faced many challenges and overcame them all with creativity and ingenuity; one in particular was the customer team being based across America, which in the end proved to be a successful demonstration of international management credentials.

Peter Kilby, Managing Director of ISG’s Hotels and Hospitality division, commented: “Securing this prestigious scheme for a major new international client is a real coup for the business. This is especially the case as ISG was entrusted with delivering the world’s first United Airlines concept corporate lounge design.

High quality specification and attention to detail are prerequisites for this exclusive new facility. Undoubtedly, ISG's experience of working airside at airport terminal buildings and a proven track record in the high end hotel & residential markets, played an important role in this appointment.”
