Introduction

ISG delivered a £10.5m fit out project for pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare firm, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Fit out works took place in Building 09 in a scheme that allowed GSK to implement its Business Service Centre (BSC) Transformation Programme. The Stockley Park Transformation Programme in the UK was the largest in a number of projects that GSK rolled out globally, with the others being in Costa Rica, Poland and Malaysia.

GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK) brief for their new office fit out was that it would drive a flexible and collaborative working environment that would encourage a cultural change within their workforce. The new space was designed around flexible working and incorporated a new auditorium, reception and catering area as well as flexible open plan office space.

The Project

The project also comprised extensive refurbishment works to the roof as well as the full replacement of the plantroom pods, which were assembled off site to ensure that the installation did not disrupt the critical roof refurbishment. All external works were conducted outside of normal office hours to minimise disruption to Stockley Park businesses.
