Overview

A high-security datacentre project was awarded to ISG as part of a £15m, seven-month programme for a confidential telecommunications company. The project involved the partial demolition of the ground floor of an occupied four-storey building to extend the existing structure.

What we did

ISG carried out all the demolition, construction and fit out of the new high-security datacentre. This included structural enhancements to the existing building with the addition of new steel decks to accommodate the heavy chillers required for three data halls.

The project also included extensive strengthening of the building to secure it against ram-raiding and explosions in addition to a turnkey fit out package including standby power generators, cooling, new switchgear and extensive high security.
