Introduction
The 33-week project saw us transform the interior of No 6, St Andrews Square, with a Cat-B fit out covering six floors and 110,000sq ft.
The former headquarters of Scottish Provident is now home to over 1,000 Standard Life Aberdeen PLC and Aberdeen Standard Investments employees, with a ground floor café and an “executive level” on the sixth floor.
Featuring both open and cellular plan offices, conference rooms, training areas, external terraces and a double-height reception, the project was delivered to an enhanced specification throughout.
Finishes on the upper floor consist of veneered wall panelling, bespoke furniture, stone tiling and walling, handmade rugs, bespoke desks and boardroom tables inlaid with stone.
The project
Given the city centre location, the organisation of deliveries, waste and materials was paramount.
In addition to well-planned logistics, the team faced extensive upgrades to the M&E infrastructure, including the installation of the core server and the very latest AV equipment.
The desk installation alone was considerable, incorporating power, data and containment.
“ISG impressed from the start with their can-do attitude and excellent levels of engagement. The team was proactive and accommodating when design changes were needed due to a company merger part way through the scheme. They acted at a rapid speed and even took on some design elements to keep the programme moving. We were all really impressed with the quality of the finished project and I would recommend the ISG team to anyone.”
John Wilson, Senior Project Manager, Standard Life Aberdeen
