The Entopia Building wins big at the 2023 Building Awards
The Entopia Building project, delivered for the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), has already scooped awards at the Construction News, Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry (CFCI) and The AJ100 awards and more recently at Education Estates, the team was delighted to make it a quintuple of accolades.
Group Director of Sustainable Operations, Peter Kelly said of the win: “We are delighted to have played our part in this latest award win for the Entopia Building. A world’s first for a retrofitted sustainable office building, it provides an outstanding example for us to follow now and in the future.”
The £12.8m project in central Cambridge has achieved multiple sustainable building certifications, with more soon to be announced, including BREEAM (Outstanding), the Passivhaus EnerPHit standard, the first of its kind, and WELL (Gold) certification, alongside circular economy principles to minimise the volume and impact of natural and man-made resources used in the building.
Congratulations to the team and all the project partners.
ISG was also a finalist in the Major Contractor of the Year category (over £500m).
