Join the movement – introducing Move for Charity 2020

Our annual charity bike ride has gone virtual but with a twist...

Normally this time of year would see us putting the finishing touches to plans for our annual fundraising event – Cycle for Charity. However, as we continue to adjust to our new normal and navigate the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s Cycle for Charity event will take on a whole new spin.

Around the world, many of us have experienced the widespread feeling of anxiety and isolation surrounding the pandemic, which is why taking care of your mental health and wellbeing is more important than ever. Therefore, in support of World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10 October 2020, we will be swapping out bikes and lycra for an exciting, new global challenge – Move for Charity.

The five-day virtual challenge will take place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2020 and see #TeamISG and beyond get active and creative; through running, walking, cycling and swimming as we take part in a challenge to achieve the furthest distance possible.

For this year’s event, we want to give something back by raising vital funds and clocking as many miles and steps as possible around the world.

Get moving!

The aim of the challenge is to clock as many miles as possible across the globe, but also to get creative while doing it! Here are some examples of how to ‘start moving’:

Take a socially distanced walk with a colleague during your lunch break or clock your miles during your commute to and from work
Get a few friends or colleagues together to climb Mount Everest in your homes
Set a challenge with friends, family or work colleagues to run the distance of The Great Wall of China
Cycle to and from work
Make a splash by swimming in different swimming pools across the globe.
