Open Doors 2020

Following a successful five years of partnering with Open Doors, March 2020 will see ISG open its doors once again and give a behind the scenes look at more ‘live’ developments across England, Scotland and Wales, across the sectors of education, hospitality and leisure.

Open Doors week will be running from 16-21 March, and provides an insight into the construction industry and the vast array of careers and opportunities that lie within it. Young people will be given a guided virtual insight of three of ISG’s flagship construction sites, experiencing what it’s like to be at the helm of building something special.

ISG is promoting three of its key sites across the UK: Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, Cardiff University (Computer Science and Maths building) and 64 Princes Street in Edinburgh.

Lord’s Cricket Ground, London

Looking to increase future prospects, ISG is developing the site for Cardiff University to enhance the school’s ability to conduct cutting-edge research. Building on ISG’s successful delivery of major sport developments, Lord’s Cricket Ground is being transformed to provide impressive spectator facilities, as well as increased accessibility and amenities. In Edinburgh, ISG is converting a former BHS store at 64 Princes Street into a 137-bed Premier Inn. The mixed-use development also includes the delivery of two new restaurants on Rose Street, and a flagship retail store on Princes Street.

ISG offers early career roles spanning from apprentice programmes to graduate placements. With people truly at the heart of the business, ISG encourages its employees to adopt bold ideas, and to never stop learning as one of its core values. The Open Doors initiative allows young talent to have insider intel into the people that are delivering innovative construction solutions and creating an unbeatable customer experience for the clients we collaborate with.
