In less than 24 hours six intrepid charity walkers from ISG’s North West of England team scaled the highest mountains in Wales to raise almost £10,000 for Mental Health UK.

Peter Gleave, Ross Sangster, Jamie Griffiths, Chris Maloney, Mark Gibson and James Webster covered 36 miles and ascended 14,880 ft, battling heavy rain and hail, to raise the funds for our new charity partner.

Peter whom led the team, said: “The Welsh 3000s challenge is supposed to be completed in under 24 hours. We set off at 5:30 am on the Thursday morning in heavy rain and hail and completed an extended route back to our accommodation by 4:30am the next morning.

“We scaled the last of the 15 summits at 2am, navigating through the hours of darkness using head torches as we traversed the final ridges and summits.”

The team has raised £9,898.75 thanks to our supply chain partners, friends, family and colleagues, but they need a final push to reach the grand total of £10,000.
