A leadership update on ISG’s UK Fit Out and Agility businesses

Matt Blowers, chief operating officer for ISG Fit Out, shares the latest leadership updates from our Fit Out and Agility businesses.

After six years of leading the UK Fit Out business and following my move onto the Stat Board as chief operating officer (COO) for Fit Out earlier this year, I’m pleased to share an update to our leadership team and structure. While I will continue to represent Fit Out at Stat Board level, it is time for others to step up to fill the MD roles – and this is also the case with other senior positions in the business.

UK Fit Out

I’d like to congratulate Lee Phillips, who is replacing me in the role of managing director (MD) of UK Fit Out from his previous role as MD of Agility.

Lee has taken the Agility business from strength to strength over the past three years, and in 2020 Agility is projected to become a £125 million business – a testament to Lee’s dedication and leadership. This far exceeds the original targets we set ourselves.

Joining Lee, Chris Peters has been promoted to commercial director for UK Fit Out, replacing Martyn Peters who takes up the role of group commercial director for Fit Out.  

In addition, Cambell Lean and Andy Sheppard have been appointed to the roles of divisional directors, setting our major projects structure to be more resilient, and ready for the forecasted growth we’re expecting.

Agility

Taking over Lee’s role, and after six years with the business, Nick Oddy has been promoted to MD of Agility. Nick is a great example of someone building their career at ISG. He started out in our London winning work team, and was most recently an operations director. His role as MD will draw on Nick’s first-rate relationship management skills with key clients and internal stakeholders. Alongside Nick, Alex McHugh has been promoted to commercial director for Agility. 

International Fit Out Board

We have also been continuing to expand our geographical reach as a business, engaging with our overseas business units to further understand the fit out market and local opportunities. This has meant the expansion of board roles – both for those already on the Fit Out board, and also the introduction of new roles to manage the larger scope of countries we now cover. In line with this, I’m pleased to announce that Andy Hargrave has been appointed to the board in the newly created role of Fit Out operations director. Andy has a wealth of experience on major projects, most recently with Goldman Sachs, and has played a key role in helping marshal the major projects teams. He is highly respected in the market and has worked on some of London’s largest fit out projects. Andy’s experience will help ensure we continue to delight clients as we bid for bigger and more complex projects.
