Overview
A 32-bed Very Sheltered Housing scheme, along with library and café for public use. The flats have a flexible internal design so they are fully convertible for the specific requirements of individual residents. The building occupies a central village location and is 'Secured By Design', and has a progressive key fob entry system providing excellent levels of security for residents.
The Project
Communal facilities include an Internet café, laundry, hairdressing salon and therapy room, with a large dining area and several multi-use rooms for a range of activities. In addition to the community library, there are community rooms and offices for the use of the Parish Council and local residents.
A timber-framed solution was adopted for the whole building with a steel frame solution for the library and café area due to the large spans required.
