Overview

The project saw ISG build a two-storey timber frame extension to increase capacity at Fosse House from 65 to 85 rooms. The new extension provided 20 high specification en-suite bedroom/sitting rooms and includes a day room and kitchenette for every five rooms to offer residents a social setting.

ISG worked closely with the customer to ensure every detail of the construction and the fit out of the new facilities enhances the living environment for residents.

The Project

The Fosse House project presented additional constructional challenges because of its St. Albans location. The site was in an archaeologically sensitive area, and the location was also surrounded by residential dwellings.

The project was successfully completed in 45 weeks, which was four weeks earlier that the contracted programme.
