ISG recognises the achievements of its regional supply chain partnerships
Ahead of ISG’s Strategic Supply Chain Conference, two of our regional teams recently brought together many of their supply chain partners to recognise their successes in 2022.
The events provided an opportunity to celebrate long-standing relationships and outstanding achievements, with awards to recognise the key role of the supply chain in enabling ISG to provide the best customer experience in the industry, achieve optimal operational efficiency, offer an unbeatable employment experience, and drive revolutionary change in construction.
The award ceremonies focused on our supply chain partnerships in the South of England and South Wales, with Regional Director, Richard Skone, hosting both events.
With awards for safety, quality, partnering, social value and sustainability, ISG team members who interact with the supply chain at any stage in the project life cycle, were invited to vote for their standout partners.
South of England
First up was the South of England award ceremony, and with six awards up for grabs, our supply chain partners descended on the Hilton, Reading to celebrate the successes of 2022.
Members of the ISG team were on hand to present the awards, including Operations Director, Neil MacDonald, and Head of Supply Chain, Rob Scriven, and you can see the full list of winners below:

- Social Value – CMB engineering
- Supervisor of the Year – Giles Walker, Classic Decorators
- Quality – Massey Cladding
- Sustainability – Hawk Scaffolding
- Supply Chain Partner – Harringtons
Representatives from ISG’s UK charity partner, Mental Health UK, were also in attendance, with the event raising £2,970 for the charity, with fundraising initiatives during the course of the event.
Wales
Taking place a week after the South of England awards, this time at the Cornerstone venue in Cardiff, the South Wales awards saw another glittering group of winners across projects including the Interchange, Cardiff; South Point Primary School, Barry; and STEAM Academy, Bridgend College, with Sector Director for Education Jane O’Leary and Pre-construction director, Darren March amongst those presenting awards. - Supply Chain Partner – Premier Groundworks Solutions (PGS)
The School of Hard Knocks is a charity set up in 2007, and Programme Director, Damian James, attended to speak about the work they do within the local community. Fundraising initiatives at this event helped to raise £2,065 for the charity, helping to continue their work supporting adults and young people who are not where they want to be, or could be, through a combination of rugby, mentoring and planning for the future.
Richard Skone commented: “It was an honour to host our latest supply chain awards events, recognising our excellent supply chain partners, and the great collaboration that helps us to continue to improve our industry and deliver for our clients and communities, adding real impact together.”
