During our work at COP28’s Connect Conference Centre at Expo City Dubai, our team solidified partnerships through a unified team approach that involved the client and external stakeholders. The team seamlessly integrated into the collaborative framework, offering design and buildability solutions. This concerted effort was essential to guarantee the realization of the accelerated program, showcasing the team's commitment to success. Frequent meetings were held with all stakeholders to ensure we are aligned on the project’s priorities, client’s expectations, and unmovable deadlines.

Operational Efficiency & safety drives everything we do at ISG, and it was no different during the construction of Roxy Cinemas Dubai Hills Mall. Working at Height and Lifting Operation were identified as our biggest risk during pre-construction, however, the project team proactively identified these as areas where our processes and procedures could be optimised to increase our efficiency and reduce errors by deploying the latest work at height solutions and lifting equipment. The project team fostered a culture of communication and collaboration amongst all stakeholder when it came to risk mitigation, which meant the project was handed over with no significant events or lost time as a result.

The use of cutting-edge technology is at the core of how we operate at ISG. OpenSpace allows our site employees to record captures of the project whilst walking around site with a 360-camera to provide real time imagery of progress to our clients, or the ability to see their site as it is today, yesterday or a year ago – at the client of a button. 

Delivering an on-time, quality product for our client was paramount on Roxy Cinemas Dubai Hills Mall. And we managed this through our quality and defect tool, R-Drive. It enabled us to identify potential defects for rectification and track through live data the progress on handing over a defect-free site. The robust system underpinned the day-to-day operations on site with increased efficiency, quality, and safety.

Launched during the kick-off of the Roxy Cinemas project, EcoOnline helped us deliver a consistent means of recording and measuring health and safety data on the project. All stakeholders were able to use the system to record inspections, audits, insights, and safety observations, and to report incidents, accidents, and near misses. Its comprehensive reporting capabilities allowed us to undertake in-depth trend analysis, greatly improving our ability to manage risk throughout this complex build.
