ISG in the Middle East taps into the community spirit

ISG in the Middle East has tapped into the community spirit to donate special automated taps to the Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Dubai, UAE.

The centre helps individuals to reach their full potential, and is open to children aged from three to 18.

The centre's mission is to provide all individuals with special needs the same opportunities, through professional training and care, regardless of their background, to enable them to realise their potential and integrate into the wider community.

A 2018 primary objective for ISG’s Middle East team is to give back to the community, and with such an inspiring cause, the Al Noor Training Centre was the perfect place to support.

The team in the Middle East carried out some minor works at the centre two years ago which mainly involved ceiling, flooring and bathroom refurbishments.

This time around, ISG donated 31 automated water taps, with infrared sensors, used to aid those with disabilities.

Managing surveyor, Darrel Ashcroft, helped to source the taps, and briefed Al Noor’s facilities team on the specifications and installation information.

The initiative was led by HR manager, Basma Rehman, who commented: “It was truly delightful speaking with the children – I loved it!”
