Overview
The Paiza area consists of 36 VIP rooms, lounge and connecting corridors on levels two and three, overlooking the main casino floor. Guests access the rooms via a separate atrium with a dramatic fibre optic lighting system.
Each gaming suite was individually designed and ranges in shape from circular and oval, to triangular, square and oblong. Finishes are high end and include leather-clad double doors, gold leaf ornate ceilings, perimeter marble floors, internal walls with timber veneer and fabric wrapped panelling.
The project was particularly challenging as the building was not watertight for the first phase of the work and key design issues were still outstanding at commencement. Both the construction team and the design coordinator exceeded expectations in assisting the client, solving site issues and allowing procurement to proceed.
