Paul Cossell is chief executive of ISG and has been with the construction services firm for over 20 years.
A surveyor by background, Paul has over 25 years’ experience in the industry across corporate real estate, new build, refurbishment and fit out projects. Joining ISG as a senior financial manager in 1996, in 2010 he was appointed group managing director responsible for ISG’s highly successful commercial office fit out and engineering services business, and in 2016 Paul was announced as ISG’s CEO. He has an industry-leading reputation for creating an unbeatable experience for customers, building long-term relationships with blue-chip organisations, including RBS, ExxonMobil, ICL, BT and KPMG.
Paul led the transformation of ISG’s office fit out business to become the market leader in London. He was also the driving force behind ISG’s entry into the international datacentre construction market, where ISG has delivered over £1bn of projects over the past five years. Building upon this expertise in highly engineered environments, Paul has grown the business to become one of the most respected technology, science and health sector specialists in the UK and continental Europe. In 2015, Paul’s business was recognised by the Chartered Management Institute as one of the UK’s Top 50-rated companies for productivity.
Corporately, Paul has been instrumental in improving the commercial and physical performance of ISG’s supply chain and driving innovation into the business to ensure that ISG maintains its market-leading position across its core sectors and geographies. In his role as CEO, Paul is focused on a group-wide strategic improvement programme to blend ISG’s unparalleled track record, sound processes and proven delivery methods with a technology-led, fast-paced and agile culture, ensuring projects and programmes are delivering thriving places that are as agile and resilient as their occupants.
