Director, Fit Out
Matt Hurrell is a board director for ISG’s hugely successful fit out business in the UK, and is also a member of ISG’s international fit out board, which has a remit to expand our geographical reach. Matt has been with the business for over 12 years.
Matt’s previous role as preconstruction director for ISG’s UK fit out business has expanded to meet the requirements of ISG's global client base. With more of ISG’s UK customers expanding into continental Europe and beyond, Matt now functions as a central point of contact for the fit out business’s operations, a role which ensures consistency across our territories.
During his time as preconstruction director, Matt transformed ISG’s London-based winning work team into an industry-leading integrated business development, bid management, estimating, preconstruction, BIM and 3D visualisation function. The team is responsible for securing multiple major fit out office schemes, new build datacentres and highly engineered projects across the technology, science and health sectors, as well as supporting global account bids and business development.
Matt was the UK fit out team’s first design manager when he joined ISG in 2006, a role which has since been established throughout our delivery teams. Matt’s role naturally evolved into a broader preconstruction remit, and he has since been instrumental in procuring many award-winning major fit out projects for ISG’s illustrious client base. Matt’s significant contribution to business growth was recognised in his appointment as preconstruction director in 2011, and to the international fit out board in 2019.
Matt has a background in construction management, working on historical building refurbishment, such as London’s Cadogan Hall, and high-end residential schemes, most notably in Chelsea and Mayfair in London. Matt’s innate attention to detail and focus on high-quality end-product, sound process, customer service and innovative problem-solving has provided the foundation for him to thrive in both his past and present roles.
