We are working with ION Development to bring the Lime Street area of Liverpool to life with a new £39 million development.
Occupying a tight site opposite Lime Street Station, the scheme comprises of five retail units, a 10-storey, 412-bed student accommodation block and a three-storey Premier Inn hotel with 101 guest rooms.
Ion Development, Liverpool City Council and Sigma Capital form the partnership behind the scheme with Ion Development delivering the project on behalf of the site owner, Curlew Student Trust.
The project is due for completion in July 2018.Project updates
The Lime Street Future manifesto states that ‘People bring streets to life, so let’s give it back to them …’
“If Lime Street is a gateway to Liverpool, then it must condense, embody and express what Liverpool is about. You must know that you have arrived.”
Steve Parry, Ion Development
“The definitive images of Lime Street are at night. It’s the glimmer and glamour of neon that frame its identity. It’s something that we set out to capture and revive.”
Rob Mason, Ion Development
ISG is a dynamic global construction and engineering services company. Our people specialise in fit out, technology, construction and developments and are dedicated to delivering places that help people and businesses thrive.
In our industry, where speed and cost reign, we are committed to creating an unbeatable customer experience, and always want to have a positive effect on the people, environment and communities we work with.
We emphasise ‘care’. We believe the best outputs come from shared goals, mutual support and inclusive practices. As a result, we never run from responsibility; we aren’t afraid of having difficult conversations; and we make it our business to always be proactive, constructive and helpful.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) is the national initiative set up by the construction industry to improve its image. As part of this, we are registered with the Scheme and will be monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond the norm. We are a founder member of the scheme and our hard work to minimise the impact of our works was recognised with 22 National Site Awards in 2017.
We place a high value on maintaining good relationships with neighbours, and as we are going to be part of the community for a period of time, we will provide updates on site progress regularly via this website.
As the manifesto says, ‘people bring streets to life’, and we want to engage with you, the local community, during this project. We will be issuing regular updates and providing opportunities to meet the team as this development comes to life.
