The client required a complete renovation of the existing building into a brighter, more contemporary learning environment, flexible enough for future needs. The work needed to be completed during the summer holiday period and ready for the new academic year.

Harris Girls Academy

The project

ISG undertook a complete refurbishment of the existing two-storey 'New House' teaching block. Following a complete strip out back to shell and core, nine classrooms and a recording studio were created.

The classrooms housed new arts and ICT teaching facilities, adaptable to meet the requirements of the Academy's new teaching curriculum. New larger windows to increase natural light were installed. The existing plant room on the roof was relocated to the ground floor, freeing the roof space for future use.
