ISG’s £8m science centre at Stratton Upper School in Biggleswade, UK, has been opened by Professor Monica Grady, known for her involvement in the Rosetta space probe.

At the handover event, Professor Grady spoke about the collaboration from the scientists who made it happen, and the importance of the project.

The ISG new build project took a year to build and involved the demolition of a gymnasium and changing rooms, as well as landscaping at the front of the school, to make room for 13 new laboratories.

The space will allow for 400 additional pupils to use the school.

According to The Comet newspaper, Professor Grady led the opening ceremony in front of school staff and colleagues, the project team, the mayor of Biggleswade Councillor Michael North and Councillor Steve Dixon.
