ISG’s UK Construction South team has completed phase two of works at the White Chapel building, located across the road from it company headquarters in London, UK.
The second phase of work on the 89,000 sq ft office space began in October 2017, and was completed in July 2018 after a 41-week project.
The project included the extension and refurbishment of the lower floors of the building, with installation of a new external structure, unique galvanised cladding and brand-new lifts.
The team also remodelled the external staircase and public walkway, closely liaising with Transport for London (TfL) to ensure the safe closure of a nearby road for two full weekends to allow access for a mobile crane.
Working closely with the new tenant, Fotografiska, and UK Real Estate Investment Trust, Derwent London, the team completed the project in line with the customer’s vision and timeframe, in what proved to be a very successful project for the ISG team.
Phase one of the project was completed in October 2016, where ISG refurbished 184,000 sq ft of office space in the building.
