The project was awarded via the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) Medium Value Framework. The four-year framework will see us working across the entire North West region delivering council projects valued between £500K and £10 million.
A dominant feature of the four-storey building is the striking full height atrium, with a timber-lined spiral staircase travelling up the expanding space above.
This project was awarded via our original Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Framework Agreement as part of a refurbishment programme across numerous UK sites. Under this framework, we delivered in excess of 40 projects valued at over £82 million.
The design was developed in full consultation with council staff and affords the most effective use of space, facilitating communication between teams, with 1,750 open plan workstations supporting 2,000 staff in an 8:10 sharing ratio.
This project to renovate a public library saw engagement with the local community, including collaboration with the Women’s Institute and educational visits for the nearby primary school.

Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Agency responsible for the management of the defence estate and provides services to support all aspects of a large and very diverse estate.
The works consisted of the refurbishment and modernisation of facilities on the ground floor of the John Rylands Library for The University of Manchester.
Constructed in 1948, Bramley Fire Station on Stanningley Road, Leeds was a major part of West Yorkshire Brigades infrastructure until February 2003 when it was replaced by Stanningley Community Fire Station.
